Pressing pause
You might have noticed it’s been a little quieter around here lately. If you happened to catch my last Instagram live, you’ll know why.
The short version? I’m pressing pause - on this blog, on my newsletter, on Instagram, and on the need to keep everything ticking along as normal. Not dramatically, and not forever, just long enough to recalibrate.
The past few months have been full, in every sense! I’ve been supporting a family member through a terminal illness, I’ve been recovering from surgery, and I’ve been trying to keep all the usual plates spinning. And somewhere along the way, I realised - I can’t do it all. And I definitely can’t do it all well.
So I’m stepping back, letting go of the constant expectation to be “on”, and releasing the grip I didn’t realise I had on always posting, sharing, and showing up.
It’s not an easy thing for me to do. This is work I love, and a community I value deeply. But right now, rest is the work, and this pause it’s what’s needed.
If you happen to be in a similar season of your life, let this be the permission slip you need, reminding you that:
You are allowed to pause.
You are allowed to choose rest over reach.
You are allowed to make space for yourself.
In the meantime…
If you’re missing the kind of reflections I usually share here, you might enjoy what we’re creating over at Firefly. Our work there weaves together leadership, growth, integrity and personal development - all through a very human lens. There’s a lot of crossover in conversations: doing meaningful work, navigating change, and finding clarity when things feel murky. It’s a different format and more team involved, but the same heartbeat.
You can subscribe to Firefly’s emails here to keep up-to-date with what the team and I are up to, or follow us on LinkedIn for regular insights.
Until I’m back here again - take care of yourself. And thank you, as always, for reading and being part of this community.
